9-Card Golf

Coming Soon

A more complex version with a larger grid. More cards means more strategic depth and longer games.

Key Differences:

  • 9 cards per player (3×3 grid)
  • 9 holes (same as classic)
  • More opportunities for pairs and strategic planning
  • Games last 25-40 minutes
  • More complex decision-making

Best for: Players who want more strategic depth and longer gaming sessions

Jokers Variant

Coming Soon

Adds jokers to the deck for an extra twist. Jokers are powerful negative cards, but 2s become positive, changing the strategy significantly.

Key Differences:

  • Deck includes 2 jokers (54 cards total)
  • Jokers = -2 points (excellent to have!)
  • 2s are worth 2 points (instead of -2)
  • Same grid and hole structure as classic
  • More powerful negative cards available

Strategy Tip: Jokers are highly valuable since they're worth -2 points. Watch the discard pile carefully for these powerful cards!

Manual Knock Variant

Coming Soon

Adds a strategic "knock" mechanic where players can signal they're ready to end the hole, even if they haven't flipped all their cards.

Key Differences:

  • Players can "knock" to signal they think they have the lowest score
  • Hole ends when someone knocks (not when all cards flip)
  • Everyone else gets one final turn after a knock
  • Adds bluffing and timing strategy
  • Can end holes faster if you're confident

Strategy Tip: Knocking early can catch opponents off-guard, but if you're wrong, you might give them extra turns to improve their score!

Horizontal Pairs Variant

Coming Soon

Makes the game easier by allowing horizontal pairs (same row) to also score zero, not just vertical pairs (same column).

Key Differences:

  • Horizontal pairs (same row) also score 0 points, not just vertical pairs
  • More opportunities to clear high-value cards
  • Requires different placement strategy
  • Easier to achieve low scores
  • Same grid and hole structure as classic

Best for: Players who want a more forgiving game or are learning the basics

Negative Bonus (Square) Variant

Coming Soon

Rewards players who manage to get four of the same card in a 2×2 square with a massive negative bonus.

Key Differences:

  • If you get four of the same card in a 2×2 square, get -10 or -20 bonus points
  • Very difficult to achieve, but highly rewarding
  • Adds a high-risk, high-reward element
  • Same grid and hole structure as classic
  • Can dramatically change game outcomes

Note: This is a rare achievement! Don't count on getting a square, but if you do, it's a game-changer.
